When my son, Burhan, was diagnosed with autism, I felt sadness. My sadness lead to anger directed to those closest to me; my kids, my spouse, my family, my friends, or the world in general.
Autism is not a specific disease. It is a spectrum of disorders. My message to all the parents is this: having an early diagnosis is crucial and parents are the most reliable sources of information about your child.
